Large Language Models can “learn” a lot, but they can’t keep up with real-time data. Even Semantic Index entries aren’t the full answer. Functions that generative AI can call when needed:

Supply information that the AI wouldn’t have otherwise
Work in any way VAIL does, including querying remote sources, databases, application state.
