Designated Technical Contact (DTC): Working effectively with Vantiq Support

 

  1. All VANTIQ accounts must have a primary DTC.  Accounts may designate a secondary DTC.
  2. Technical Support
    • VANTIQ support is delivered to accounts via their DTCs
    • When Tier 1 (or Tier 2) support is delivered by a VANTIQ reseller, the VANTIQ support team works with the reseller DTC
    • The DTC represents the account to VANTIQ support and VANTIQ support to the account’s application developers and end-users
  3. VANTIQ Product Licenses
    • VANTIQ Edge node licenses are associated with the DTC.
      The DTC must register their Docker Hub ID with VANTIQ to download the Edge node executable

      • The Edge node executable is “shared” across the account’s distribution
      • The DTC Docker Hub ID should not be shared, i.e. we recommend that secondary DTCs register their DockerHub ID if they will download the Edge node executable.
    • VANTIQ Private Cloud licenses are associated with a DTC and the VANTIQ Professional Service representative.
