You are correct that this is a bug in the Android mobile client.   There was a problem with the retry mechanism. It has been reworked with better “retry” logic and should now be able to handle a lost connection when uploading an image.

Do get the fix to this problem, you must be running version 3.33 or later of the Android mobile client.  To see what version of the mobile client that you are currently running bring up the main screen and click on the “More” icon in the lower right corner.
