Architects are the “Project Directors.”  In their role, they have the following responsibilities:

  • Work with all project stakeholders to establish exactly what the business requirements of the system are
  • Define the overall structure of the application system
  • Make sure the system is designed for performance and future scalability
  • Coordinate developers to work independently on their parts of the system
  • Integrate all of the developers’ efforts to build the cohesive whole
  • Design and build regression tests to run throughout the Development through Operations phases of the project

The Architect Training Pathway courses are as follows:

  • The Vantiq Software Development Life Cycle – (1 Hour) – Vantiq application development, and beyond, follows a process particular to the platform’s characteristics.  Architects of successful projects work through every phase of the life cycle to avoid all-too-common, but preventable, issues in their application systems.
  • System Modeler (1 Hour) – This tool cleanly captures project business requirements by mapping the application based on how it will process events.  Once the business stakeholders finish building the Model, the System Modeler can generate the foundational application structure, thereby ensuring that the application framework adheres tightly to the desired project focus.
  • Design Model (1 Hour) – Share your vision with Vantiq’s AI Assistant, which will design a full application based on your conversation.  Once you’re satisfied with the blueprint, the system will generate a project framework that already incorporates good practices for performance and scalability.
  • Developer Best Practices – (.5 Hours) – How performance and scalability in a project can best be achieved is not a “one size fits all” approach in all cases.  In this course, students learn that of the different methods of achieving the same result, there are usually trade-offs in other areas.  Students learn to weigh these different outcomes and choose those that best meet their business needs.
