Administrators bring the team together, manage Vantiq resources, and make sure that developers’ collective efforts don’t overwhelm system resource allocations.  Administrator responsibilities:

  • Deploy the Vantiq server to Kubernetes cluster(s)
  • Create Organizations
  • Manage Quota needs for Organizations
  • Add developers to the system
  • Conduct System, Organization and Namespace performance monitoring
  • Manage project resources and backups
  • Coordinate with the System Administrator to modify Organization quotas and credits as needed

Courses in the Organization Administrator Training Pathway:

  • Vantiq Server Deployment – (1 Hour) – This course demonstrates all the steps to creating a new Vantiq installation from Cloud infrastructure.
  • System Administration– (2 Hours) – Administrators need to keep their installations healthy and resources balanced well among tenants in the system. This elective is a comprehensive look at the duties and responsibilities for administrators at the system level.
  • Administering Namespaces & Organizations – (2 Hours) – Administration takes place at the Organization and Namespace levels too.  Take this class to learn how to best manage resources in these areas.
  • The Vantiq Command Line Interface – (1 Hour) – is a Vantiq tool for managing resources from a terminal window and even automating certain tasks in shell scripts.
